Elle Tee

Elle Tee (English and Norwegian) - Beginner-friendly knitting pattern.

Elle Tee is knitted from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round in the base color until you reach the armholes. Then the work is divided, and the back and front yoke are knitted flat, back and forth, on 8 mm needles using a contrast color of two strands thin mohair. This creates a slightly translucent section while simultaneously decreases will be worked to shape the armholes. The shoulders are grafted together, and finally the neckline and sleeve ribbing are knitted in the base color.

The sweaters in the pictures are size S.

Measurements:
Bust: approx. 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 cm
Total length: approx. 53 (55) 58 (61) 63 cm

Recommended needles: 5 mm circular needles (40 and 60 cm), 8 mm (60cm)

Gauge: 5 mm needles: 13 stitches = 10 cm after steaming and blocking

Yarn suggestion 
Base color: 150 (200) 200 (200) 250 g Alpaca Linen from Rauma (two strands) + Contrast color: 25 (25) 25 (25) 25 g Thin silk mohair from Sandnes Garn (two strands).

(Colors: Light Grey 1310 + 1199 Salt’n Pepper tweed) 

- Alpaca linen from Rauma (175 m / 50g)
- Thin silk mohair from Sandnes yarn (212 m / 25g)

Yellow: Brushed Alpaca (light yellow 2112) + Thin silk mohair (Lemon icing 2009) from Sandnes yarn

Green: «KOS» (green tea 9541 (Discontinued color)) Sandnes yarn + Bella mohair (88323261 Lime) By Permin. This yarn combination is a bit thinner than the recommended one. But I knitted my usual size and just blocked the garment a bit more (since it turns out slightly smaller than the given measurements). This is a different combination than the recommended yarn in the pattern. Both base color and contrast color are knitted with only one strand.

Blue: Brushed Alpaca (light blue 6003) + Thin silk mohair (light blue 6012) from Sandnes yarn
